Sell out event in Lima Peru confirms appetite for
IP based Security Solutions in Latin America

Despite the fact that the organisers were forced to close registration 10 days prior to the event because it was over-subscribed, more than 170 security and IT professionals converged on the IP-in-Action LIVE Lima Peru event at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. Hosted by the IP UserGroup Latin America, the event brought together, manufacturers, resellers, integrators and end users from across Peru and beyond. This, the fifth in the series of physical security technology road-show events proved to be the most successful so far and indicates that the event is both popular with the delegates and successful for the exhibitors and speakers.

The aim of the event was to introduce to the Peruvian security industry some of the new techniques, products and solutions available when utilising IP based technology. The Seminar line-up supported this aim with presentations from MOBOTIX , iluminar, BOLIDE Technology, Fluidmesh Networks, DIGIOP Technology, Exacq Technologies, Arecont Vision, Network Video Technologies, IndigoVision, and Pelco (details www.ipusergrouplatino.com/lima_agenda.html).

The seminar sessions commenced with presentations from Henry Castillo - Technical Director, ABP Technology, MOBOTIX AG. titled "Advantages of a Decentralized IP Surveillance System" where Henry discussed a different approach to IP surveillance in which the intelligence of the system is decentralized and a session from Manuel Hernández - Sales Manager South America & the Caribbean, LRG International - iluminar Inc about lighting and how to specify it correctly. This was followed by "Efficient Video Surveillance in Different Vertical Markets across the IP and Hybrid Solutions" from María Fernanda Barragán - Territory Sales Manager, BOLIDE Technology.

"Wireless Technology for Security and Mission Critical Applications, and Backhauling Applications" was presented by Marcos De la Cruz - Regional Sales Manager Latin America, Fluidmesh Networks Inc and Leonardo Caro, Regional Sales & Support Andean Region - DIGIOP Technologies discussed "Video, Data, Audio and Analysis" followed by Manuel Hernández, LRG International introduced a double-header "Exacq - NVR Solutions and NVR Hybrid for CCTV" and "Arecont - IP Megapixel Cameras"
